EBEN Closes Out 2020 With His Most Vulnerable Song And Video Yet

First off, we have to say if you haven’t done yourself the favor of diving into EBEN’s music, do so immediately! He is that mix of music you can picture being on the radio while also sounding like nothing else that’s being out!

EBEN came onto our radar back in 2012 when he was on season 11 of American Idol, where the show showcased his talent and it factor. In 2018 he began touring with a popular boy band, Why Don’t We, and that has been a force for his career.

Now we flash forward to 2020 in a pandemic world where musicians seem to be doing their best work, and born out of that is EBEN’s new single ‘It’s Not You It’s Me.’

We didn’t know what to expect when diving into this track, but it certainly wasn’t this level of vulnerability. EBEN does a great job of evoking genuine emotion just by his tone while singing, and we can not get enough! When you look back on a relationship and point to how your self-doubt ruined things is such a heartbreaking feeling, and EBEN put it into words perfectly. The lyric “see the photographs you were my best friend” broke us.

The way he delivers the line you can hear the emotion and the feeling becomes so tangible.

The raw emotion you hear from EBEN while just listening to the song he so obviously shows in this video. His facial expressions at points just read pure pain, and rightfully so given the heavy context of the lyrics. Everything about this video is just *chef’s kiss*.

And we have to talk about the scenery! It’s visually so beautiful, and we think this goes down as our favorite video of his so far!
