Both Ray BLK and Ivorian Doll are among the talented and empowering females flying the flag for the UK R&B/Hip Hop Scene. Given that they are two of today’s most exciting artists, it’s no surprise that they have joined forces for the instantaneous bop that is ‘Lovesick.’ The song is taken from RAY BLK’s forthcoming album, and the South London performer says:
It really is is just about reclaiming your power in a relationship where the person has made you feel like you need them and has made you feel not good enough.
‘Lovesick’ has received support across UK radio stations and has now been remixed by the legendary MJ Cole, who adds a funky garage feel to the track, giving it that retro 1990’s sound. We smell a hit!
The award-winning producer is an integral name and has worked with artists such as Stormzy, Chase and Status, Disclosure, and De La Soul. Commenting on his contribution to ‘Lovesick’ Ray said, “I have always loved MJ Coles productions, so I’m really happy he has blessed this track.” There’s also an alternate remix by Madara Beatz, which you can listen to here.
The performer recently celebrated the fourth anniversary of her debut EP Durt, reminiscing with fans on her journey and telling them that she hopes they are ‘motivated’ and ‘uplifted’ by her new music.
