Already feeling those post-holiday blues like us, THP fam? Well, we’re here to tell you that Ashe has the cure for that!
On January 6th, our girl will perform ‘Moral of The Story’ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to kick off the New Year! The announcement comes with the buzz of new music and collaborations due for 2021! We just have to wait a little more for the details, so be sure to check back in with us! *Cries.* But while we’re waiting, let’s take a look at the success ‘Moral of the Story’ brought her!
‘Moral of the Story‘ proved to be the breakthrough track for Ashe, peaking top in charts like Alternative’s Top 10, Hot AC’s Top 20, and landing No. 21 in Pop! Executively produced by Finneas, the track appears on Ashe’s double feature EP, Moral of the Story Chapters 1&2, which gained over 388 million streams. Alongside our favorite Irish lad, Niall Horan, the reimagined track toppled with 92 million streams alone, combining both versions of ‘Moral of the Story’ with outstanding global streams of 480 million!
The success of the track also brought Ashe her first late-night TV show debut on The Late Late Show with James Cordon in November. She also appeared again by Niall’s side for another performance of ‘Moral of the Story’ during his Royal Albert Hall livestream concert in London, the clip reaching 1.5 million views since then! The success of the track also caught the attention of Kelly Clarkson, who performed a cover on her show!
Of course, to end such an awesome year of Ashe, on December 20th, she bestowed upon us her own holiday special on YouTube! The festive livestream featured Quinn XCII and his wife Macy, JP Saxe, guitarist Giancarlo Castillo, and friends Paula Peralta and Spencer Roehre. The show also included a fireside chat, a dessert-making segment, and a chance to donate to The Midnight Mission, an LA homeless service. Watch A Holiday Night With Ashe below!
“The holiday special was a piece of home, raising money for Midnight Mission. It was really special to make a difference with fans who endlessly show up for me time and time again. Just another example of how insane and surprisingly beautiful this year has been.”
When Ashe is not raising money through her own measures, she has been partnering with other big names such as The Beach Boys for the multi-artist charity livestream In My Room, a COVID-19 relief initiative for Support & Feed and fundraiser MusiCares for those affected by the pandemic in the music community!
Be sure to remember to tune in on January 6th to watch her on Ellen!
