We Get The Beatles Back With Killer Documentary
Now, the iconic filmmaker is back and bringing us a documentary on The Beatles called The Beatles: Get Back. Here’s what we are told about the film so far: “This film is a unique cinematic experience that takes audiences back in time to The Beatles’ intimate recording sessions during a pivotal moment in music history showcasing the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that defined the legacy of the iconic foursome. The Beatles: Get Back is the story of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr as they plan their first live show in over two years, and charts the writing and rehearsing of 14 new songs, originally intended for release on an accompanying live album.”
Fans globally will enjoy this new documentary and pay tribute to one of the greatest bands’ music history. The footage used in the film was shot by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in January 1969 and compiled from over 60 hours of unseen footage and more than 150 hours of beautifully restored unheard audio. The film features The Beatles’ last live performance as a group: the unforgettable rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row. This is the first time that this performance has aired in its entirety. In addition to this, there will be performances of other songs and classic compositions featured on the band’s final two albums, Abbey Road and Let It Be.
