Global superstar Gwen Stefani started 2021 with a bang as she released the official music video of her latest track, ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself.’ Although this successful singer doesn’t require any introduction from us, we are still delighted to do one. A three-time GRAMMY Award winner, Gwen Stefani has achieved global success as a singer-songwriter, performer and frontwoman of No Doubt, and a multi-platinum solo artist, among her other massive accomplishments.
Released last month, this reggae-tinged latest single is purely packed with nostalgic elements with slinky pop production and a few lyrical and musical references from her previous hit releases such as ‘Underneath It All’ and ‘Hollaback Girl.’ Directed by Philip Andelman, this lighthearted music video is a delicious treat for all her fans as Gwen took a trip down memory lane. While it’s quite typical that everybody likes to have a quick look back at the year while stepping into a new one, Gwen took a step ahead by looking back a lot further than just a year. The new music video absolutely justifies the song title as the singer revisits some of her most iconic looks and recreates those moments from her musical journey across her boundary-smashing almost three-decade-long career.

The video finds present-day Gwen surrounded by dozens of her past selves. As the video grows, you will recognize different Gwen’s sporting an inspired ‘Just a Girl’ outfit and the retro ‘Don’t Speak’ dress. The joyful romp also draws heavily from Gwen’s standout solo moments, showcasing Gwen rocking her street-style outfit from previous hit number ‘Hollaback Girl,’ whose lyrical reference you can find in ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself.’ Just like the single, these aesthetically pleasing visuals confidently assert Gwen’s mark in the modern musical universe.
Recorded in quarantine and co-written with relentless hitmaker Ross Golan alongside songwriter/producer Luke Niccoli, ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself’ finds Gwen reminding her fans of what she does best- create vibrant, uplifting music that is real and honest to who she relates to as an artist. Recently, she performed her latest single on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on January 5th. She spoke to Fallon and credited her fiancé Blake Shelton with coming up with the idea for the video of recreating her musical history.
