20 Artists Who Made 2020 Their Year

It’s no secret 2020 has been an interesting year. With COVID, killer hornets, and toilet paper shortages everything was insane. Most people would consider 2020 one of the worst years, but here are 20 artists who made the best of the year. So let’s take a look back at 2020 and the artists who thrived despite the circumstances.

Harry Styles

Even though he didn’t release any new music in 2020, it was still a big year for Harry Styles. Harry released his last album Fine Line at the end of 2019. Of course, it means we went into 2020 listening to the album and giving it lots of love. Seriously, we can’t remember a single day this summer when we weren’t jamming out to ‘Adore You’ or ‘Watermelon Sugar’ on the radio! He released four music videos and left fans dreaming of taking a trip to Eroda. And let’s not forget the TikTok trend where fans recreated his rainbow cardigan. Harry even made history as the first solo male cover star on a Vogue magazine in December!

We still weren’t over tracks from the first album, such as ‘Cardigan’ and ‘Exile!’  We couldn’t imagine how crazy it must’ve been releasing two albums within about five months. Just like the rest of the 5sos fam, we started 2020 full of excitement for 5 Seconds of Summer’s new album CALM. When the album came out in March we were not disappointed by what we heard! The boys included some fun songs to dance to like ‘Wildflower’ and ‘Teeth’ as well as some beautiful love ballads, such as ‘Lover of Mine’ and we have to admit, this was one of 5SOS’ best years. The band may have hit a bit of a problem during release week, but they didn’t let that get them down in the dumps. They stayed in good spirits along with their fans. And how could we ever forget their performance at Fire Fight Australia, which left people talking for days and even had “5sos drummer” trending on Twitter for a bit. The boys also won song of the year with ‘Teeth’ at the ARIA music awards.
