Bastille has always been a favorite here at THP HQ, but now our hearts can’t handle the trailer for their upcoming documentary ReOrchestrated. Full of behind-the-scenes content and stories, the documentary looks like a treasure trove that we can’t wait to unpack on February 10th!
The band was the quintessential British underdog band until they blew up, and we all collectively fell in love with them. Then came the accolades in the form of BRITS, Grammy nominations, and sold-out audiences worldwide. But somewhere, it was all fracturing as pressure mounted. All until the band played a sold-out show at London’s Union Chapel in 2017.

Strings, brass, and a choir quite literally ReOrchestrated Bastille’s mindset and literally saved the band’s future in 2017.
It birthed a deep hunger to continuously work with top-level classical musicians worldwide to reimagine their sound continually. This shift has helped give rise to the kind of pioneering musicality that makes us swoon in admiration.
The documentary also explores themes of drive, motivation, anxiety, and imposter syndrome in a thought-provoking way. ReOrchestrated looks like it’s set to be one of this year’s most revelatory pieces of film. It’s all been co-directed by long-time band collaborator Tom Middleton produced in association with Crooked Cynics, EMI and Amazon Music. You can catch the movie here on 10th February too.
