Yung Gravy has got it all. That juice, sauce, little bit of dressing – all.
Minnesota-MC, Yung Gravy has caught our attention with his cheeky smile, catchy rhymes, and just straight fly demeanor. Racking up a track record of over 1 billion streams, platinum status, tours on tours, and a solid group of devoted fans, Gravy is just at the start of his long-lived career.
Emerging onto the scene in 2016, Yung Gravy has built a discography of early independent releases for his ever devoted fans. Songs like ‘Mr. Clean’ and ‘Yung Gravity’ to name a few of our favorites. Unveiling his debut full-length album Sensational gained traction and landed in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Charts. But did your boy stop there? Certainly not. Recently releasing his sophomore full-length Gasanova via Republic Records, he has catapulted himself into the eyeline – eh, earline, of listeners worldwide.
Sick Samples Paired With A Ferocious Flow
There are no artists that can match Yung Gravy’s unique style, combining modern trap with soul-filled-funk-meets-oldies vibes. Sick sampling, including Maxine Nightingale and the Chordettes, the groove is unstoppable. Whether it features a perfectly paired piano or stereo smashing bass, we simply cannot get enough.
Finding fun in writing, he uses his humor, relatable being, and irony to create a lyrical bed, that quite frankly, we’d like to lay on. Not to mention, his music videos are utter works of genius, and we just genuinely like looking at him.
Bromances are something we know and love here at THP, so it’s no surprise that we have to talk about the bromance that is Yung Gravy + bbno$. Longtime homies, the pair released an EP in 2017 together titled Baby Gravy. The collaborative effort was the eruption of a volcanic friendship that wouldn’t soon end. Thank you, base god. The pair kicked off 2020 by delivering Baby Gravy 2, and we’d just like to say::chef’s kiss:
Oh and (you know what’s coming) – the masterpiece that is ‘Whip A Tesla.’
While we love Gravy for his psychedelic melodies, our job here isn’t finished until we mention Yung Gravy’s luscious locks, okay? LOOK AT IT. Mesmerizing blonde curls, we find ourselves first-hand simp-ing over this fruit loop.
Striving to make music that puts smiles across the faces of fans, he’s killing the game. Wavy, catchy, and full of fire and fun, Gravy executes it. Whatever it is. Simply put, he’s got the sauce, baby.
