Money Can’t Buy Happiness for Fredo but hopefully, the latest news can, as his new album has just charted at No. 2 on the Official Charts. His sophomore record is the UK’s top streaming album this week with various cuts appearing on the singles chart. Money Can’t Be Happiness follows up Fredo’s 2019 debut Third Avenue and reunites him with fellow rapper and close collaborator Dave. The pair are best known for their 2018 chart-topper ‘Funky Friday,’ and have also collaborated on ‘All I Ever Wanted.’
The record wouldn’t be complete without another collab from the pair which comes in the form of the slick ‘Money Talks,’ which is currently sitting pretty at No. 3.
That’s not Dave’s only role on the album, as he also acts as executive producer for the 11 track record. It’s easy to hear Santan’s influence all over the album, and aside from the Streatham MC, there are collabs from Summer Walker, Young Adz, and the late Pop Smoke, who appears on the fast-paced ‘Burner On Deck.’
Both collabs alongside ‘Money Talks’ are doing big things on the charts, and we expect this record to continue with its streaming success, especially when we get to that stage where we can go out and listen to these tracks in different settings.
Once the record dropped – Executive Producer Dave shared an appreciative post on the release on his Instagram thanking Fredo for the opportunity as well as describing their relationship as “deeper than rap.”
