‘Line Without A Hook’: Ricky Montgomery’s Remix With mxmtoon

Indie pop artist Ricky Montgomery is rising in popularity as he releases a fresh version of ‘Line Without A Hook’ feat. mxmtoon. Both of their voices blend beautifully together in this version of the song and may possibly be even better than the original (which is saying a lot considering how good the original is). Just listening to this song will make you want to dance.

Ricky was actually prepared to give up on his music career until his songs ‘Mr Loverman’ and ‘Line Without A Hook’ skyrocketed. These two songs blew up on TikTok despite originally being released back in 2016. Now, his music is reaching more people than ever. Both songs have now reached the Spotify Top 200 along with the Spotify Viral 50 Chart. The LA artist now has over 215 million streams along with 15 million global streams per week.

In response to the growing popularity of his song, Ricky reached out to Maia, aka mxmtoon, who also blew up on TikTok in 2019 with her single ‘Prom Dress,’ asking if she would be interested in being a part of his remix of the song. Maia of course responded yes and we were blessed with hearing this talented duo together!

On February 4th, both musicians released the news on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, leaving fans shocked and excited at this unexpected, yet extremely talented, pair. This song is definitely one we want to blast in our car or listen to when we’re in our feels. Listen to the song here!
