Hayley Kiyoko is a certified THP Queen, and now she’s just announced her brand new gender-inclusive fragrance: HUE. We’re excited, you’re excited, and now we’re all excited! Not only is Hayley one of the biggest balls of sunshine and talent, now she’s conquering the beauty industry, too.
As a trailblazing LGBTQ+ icon with bops like ‘She’ and ‘Girls Like Girls,’ the community has always been at the center of her artistic journey. Naturally, her first fragrance needed to embody acceptance and inclusivity. Over the past year, she’s worked together with perfumer Constance Georges-Picot of Cosmo Fragrances to create a scent that resonates with her that we’ll all love!
Perfume has been a massive part of my queer experience. I remember feeling famous in middle school because girls said that I smelled good. They wouldn’t date me. They didn’t have crushes on me. But they said I smelled good, and that was like a huge thing for me, and I’ve carried that throughout my life. I want to give that power and that armor to my fans, even if they’re sitting at home!
The packaging design features a portrait of Hayley, illustrated by Liz Hirsch, which signifies the variety of hues amongst every individual. It is absolutely stunning, and, honestly, we can’t wait to pin it to our walls.
What’s even better, is that the perfume is made of a concentrated Eau de Parfum version. AKA, longer wear and more enhanced, gorgeous smells! The fruity and floral creation includes many of Cosmo’s exclusive ingredients and sparkles with top notes of blood orange, watermelon, and freesia. These then unfold into an expressive, feminine heart of blooming peony petals, lychee, rose, and pink magnolia.
The fragrance is also vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and paraben-free. It’s being released on March 3rd, and you can find out more here. But come on, what is there not to obsess over?
