Likewise to so many, we had the biggest crush on these heartthrobs in the 2000s.We watched these movies and TV shows repeatedly just to see them and are ready to relive the glory days.
We are convinced our first crush was Ashton Kutcher in That 70’s Show. His portrayal of Kelso was everything we wanted in a man. He was pretty and kind of a conceded jerk but harmless nonetheless. After That 70’s Show ended in 2006, Ashton in no way slowed down. He was in many movies, including No Strings Attached and Valentine’s Day. He replaced Charlie Sheen in the popular show Two and a Half Men and later would have a Netflix show of his own, The Ranch. In his personal life, he married fellow That’s 70’s Show star Mila Kunis in 2015, and they have two children. He also founded an organization called Thorn with Ex Demi Moore. He’s doing incredible work with Thorn and saving children’s lives.
Chad Michael Murray
Chad Michael Murray was in so many of our favorite 2000’s projects. From A Cinderella Story to One tree Hill to Freaky Friday, he was the ultimate crush. He was a complete dreamboat as Austin Aimes, and we are still not over it. One Tree Hill was on-air until 2012 and after that, he went on to have a reoccurring role in the CW show Riverdale. In 2020 he starred opposite Bruce Willis in the movie Survive The Night and has gone on to star in multiple Hallmark and Lifetime movies. As he’s the perfect man, it makes sense he would be in Hallmark movies. Those men are always unrealistically beautiful.
Steve Phillips? Dream on! We are still not over our crush on Sean in the movie Sleepover. He was also in the movie Yours, Mine and Ours, which made us fall further. More recently, Sean went on to star in the Smash Hit Pretty Little Liars as officer Holbrook. In 2017 he got married and continued to act in television series and movies; it’s always a high point to see him pop up our screens.
Mean Girls is a cult classic. We feel like everyone has seen this movie, and if not, what are you doing with your life? Watch it immediately and let your crush on Jonathan Bennett as the North Shore High hottie Aaron Samuels begin. Post-Mean Girls Jonathan went on to star in Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and host multiple shows on the Food Network. He was a contestant on Season 19 of Dancing With The Stars and on Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother. In his personal life, he came out years ago as gay, and as of 2020, he is engaged to Amazing Race contestant Jaymes Vaughan.
Truly our crush on Tom in Cheaper By The Dozen couldn’t have been more enormous. Just look at him? Unreal. Tom also starred as Clark Kent in the CW show Smallville until 2011. As recent as 2019, he was still reprising his role as Clark Kent in the show Batwoman. In 2013 Tom got divorced and now spends most of his free time playing golf. He’s made it clear that he doesn’t like interviews, so finding a lot of current information is a bit tricky. Also, we are getting sidetracked just staring at his smile in that gif.
Aquamarine was one of the best teen movies of the early 2000s, and a big part of that was the beach babe that was Raymond. Let’s face the facts we all had the biggest crush on him. We wanted to ride on the boats and play carnival games with him, so we lived vicariously through Sara Paxton. After Aquamarine, Jake went on to star in the TV show Greek from 2007-2011. In 2013 he had a 10 episode stint on everyone’s favorite Showtime program Shameless. He’s still around and acting today and most recently starred in the Hulu film Happiest Season, starring alongside Kristen Stewart, Dakota Johnson and, Dan levy.
This is a crush that never has and will never go away. Channing’s portrayal of Duke in the 2006 movie She’s The Man was a pivotal moment in all of our awakenings. Channing didn’t slow down at all after the film and went on to star in the revival of 21 Jump Street alongside Jonah Hill and also played the romantic lead in the book to the movie adaptation of The Vow. One of his most famous roles is his part in both, Magic Mike films. They were so widely successful that Channing helped start a show in Las Vegas bearing the same name. He is now dating singer Jessie J.
Ben Feldman starring in The Perfect Man is what dreams are made of. He’s the nerdy guy we all had a crush on. This movie made us want to move to Brooklyn and find our own Adam. After The Perfect Man, Ben went on to star in the show Drop Dead Diva from 2009-2014 as Fred. And you guys may know him from one of the most popular shows on TV, Superstore. He’s a main character in the comedy and it’s been on air since 2015.
Was there a single person that watched Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging and didn’t have a massive crush on Robbie? Didn’t think so! Aaron perfectly portrayed this role of the artistic, sweet lovable boy. We can totally relate to Georgia going crazy over him. After his role as Robbie, he went on to star in the massive film Kick-Ass. He also stared in a “little indie film” called Avengers: Age Of Ultron. No big deal. Most recently he was in the 2020 Christopher Nolan film Tenet.
We were ready and willing to marry Michael and move to Genovia. After The Princess Diaries, Robert branched out of acting and took on directing movies like Dreamland and The Argument. He also took on Composing and has worked on both a Demi Lovato record and a We The King’s record! It’s so good to see that much like Michael, Robert has a passion for music.
That’s 70’s Show had an attractive cast, point blank. And while obviously, we had a crush on Kelso we had just as big of a crush on Eric. He was nerdy and sweet and always put his foot in his mouth in a lovable way. In 2010 Topher starred alongside his That’s 70’s Show costar Ashton Kutcher in the movie Valentine’s Day. He also starred in Spider-Man 3 and was nominated for many awards. As of 2021, Topher is currently starring in the show Home Economics.
Dan Humphrey is a complete dream. Just look at him. How could you not love him? If you haven’t seen Gossip Girl you are missing out. This is what you have missed out on and we feel sorry for you. Penn starred in the hit show from 2007-2012. After Gossip Girl he starred alongside Emma Stone in the comedy Easy A. More recently Penn stars in the Netflix show we all know and love, You. We are patiently awaiting Season 3. He’s a very vocal activist online and is constantly using his platform for good
There’s no denying the hold Mark had on us. He was the ultimate early 2000s crush in 13 Going On 30. There’s almost no need to tell you what he’s been up to since we’re sure you already know. He would go on to play just the role of a lifetime as the Incredible Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’d say he’s not doing too shabby.
In 2005 Sky High came out and we fell in love with Warren Peace. Just look at that smile! Unreal right? He played the bad boy that we all instantly had it bad for. Since Sky High Steven has starred in 10,000 BC and The Covenant among others. He was the main character in the show The Expanse. And most recently Steven is set to play Gene Simmons in Spinning Gold which does not yet have a set release date.
Let us take a moment just to swoon. Princess Mia knew what she was doing when she ended up with this fine man. We feel you girl we also had a crush. The fact that Chris Pine starred in Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and Just My Luck in a two year period is just cruel, we weren’t given enough time to recover. After the two films, Chris went on to star in multiple Star Trek films as well as the musical Into The Woods alongside Meryl Streep. In 2018 he starred in the book to movie adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time which is one of the best adaptations of our time. Most recently Pine is busy filming the Olivia Wilde film Don’t Worry Darling alongside Harry Styles.
When we say we all had a crush on this man we mean all of us. Arguably High School Musical is one of the biggest teen movies of all time. And right at the front of the film is Zac Efron. This movie catapulted him into superstardom and rightfully so. It’s no secret Zac has stayed busy after the trilogy. He starred in the musical Hairspray as well as Baywatch alongside The Rock just to name a few. In 2017 The Greatest Showman came out and showed us all that Zac was as good of an actor and singer as they come. There is no denying it. Most recently Zac starred in the Netflix original Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile as serial killer Ted Bundy. He also did his own show titled Down To Earth With Zac Efron. It’s well worth the binge.
Make no mistake we had just as big of a crush on Chad as we did on Troy. He was this lovable jock that just wanted to play basketball and date Taylor. Plus he was easy on the eyes. In 2013 Corbin had a stint on the soap opera One Life To Live, a ride of passage for so many young actors. In 2013 he was also the runner-up on season 17 of Dancing With The Stars so we guess … he does dance? He’s had quite a career in theatre as well as TV appearances.
As soon as Jake Ryan graced our TV screens on Hannah Montana we were hooked. We completely feel what Miley saw in this cute and sweet but mildly conceded actor. Post Hannah Montana Cody was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and placed fourth. He has starred in a few films most recently being part 4 and 5 of the Sharknado series.
Michael made watching Zoey 101 a damn good time. He was so cute and he had this incredible comedic timing. Post Zoey 101 Chris had a few guest roles on shows but mostly has been making art with his brother Kyle Massey. They have a music project together named Massey Boyz and have appeared together in the sitcom The Parkers.
The curly-haired man of our dreams! All we wanted was to be Zoey so that Chase would have a major crush on us. Is that too much to ask? He was awkward and so sweet and we just loved him. After Zoey 101 Sean has starred in a few TV movies. Over the last few years, he’s been in a few Zoey 101 related projects like a short, a music video, and an All That episode. He has recently got engaged.
