Okay everyone, keep calm! As fellow self-proclaimed Jonas Brothers Addicts for most of our lives, we understand how everyone is feeling. Nick Jonas released his single ‘Spaceman’ from his album bearing the same title which is set to land on March 12th. Plus we are getting SNL on February 27th? We are getting fed well! You can stream ‘Spaceman’ and pre-order the album right here!
‘Spaceman’ is everything we could have hoped for out of a new Nick Jonas tune. It’s giving us major Last Year Was Complicated vibes while also sounding brand new. This song perfectly showcases Nick’s unreal talent on his own, outside of the Jonas Brothers. Nick has always had the leading man qualities and just continues to further prove that.
‘Spaceman’ is very much so a product of the last year in the world. It’s been isolating, hence “feeling like a spaceman” when you’re in space you’re alone and that feeling can be debilitating. We are in love with the line “hard times make you love the view” that couldn’t be more true. This song is just a perfect product of quarantine.
Nick got to catch up with Zane Lowe to talk all things ‘Spaceman!’ He explains to Zane just what we were saying which is “‘Spaceman’ came into my mind while thinking, ‘What’s the one thing that all of us have felt during this time.” Nick goes on to explain “We’ve gotten so accustomed to looking at a screen instead of human interaction” and he couldn’t be more right.
As if we couldn’t think Nick and his wife Priyanka could get any cuter Nick explains that “most of the songs are pretty much just love letters” when talking about the album Spaceman. Excuse us while we melt. And rest assured Jonas Brothers fans, Nick says he’s “excited to get with the brothers and find our big stadium song to go and play those shows again for our fans when it’s safe to do so.” These projects can co-exist and that makes all of us so happy! Hearing how proud Nick is of this album makes us even more hype to check it out, can March 12th come a little faster?
You can check out the full interview here! And be sure to tune into SNL on February 27th to see Nick play double duty as both the host and musical guest!
