An Epic Crossover Between Post Malone and Pokémon Has Arrived!

The fact that we are massive Post Malone’s stans is not a secret. We’re also big fans of Pokémon. So why not make this a crossover? We don’t know about you but we are obsessed with a crossover of any kind. And in anticipation of the Pokémon Day 25th anniversary celebration and virtual concert on Saturday, February 27th our favorite, Post Malone has released a cover of Hootie and the Blowfish’s smash 1995 hit ‘Only Wanna Be with You’– which has been dubbed the ‘Pokémon 25 Version.’ The original record was last on the Billboard charts 25 years ago! You can check out the track here!

The song will be included as part of Post’s headlining appearance in the Pokémon Day virtual concert which begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. EST / 4:00 p.m. PST on February 27 and can be viewed for free on the official Pokémon YouTube, Twitch channels, and on Pokémon’s 25th-anniversary website. So make sure you save the date in your calendar and show up on the biggest event of the year. So, who are we gonna see there? Because we definitely cannot miss this. Also, have you seen the trailer? Because we definitely agree with Post Malone who says ‘I’d never would have guessed we’d be here today, it’s crazy.’

We’re kind of obsessed with it if you couldn’t tell. But then again, who isn’t? Comment and let us know your thoughts! Or talk to us over on our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!

And, be sure and check out more from THP here.
