Jessie Ware may have many projects on her mind, like the Table Manners podcast. While she keeps herself busy, The London-based singer-songwriter revealed her new video, ‘Remember Where You Are.’
Teaming up with British actress Gemma Arterton, the concept revolves around a lone woman who wanders through the city at night. The soundtrack taken from last year’s Jessie Ware album What’s Your Pleasure? is colorfully represented in the short movie. Directed by BAFTA-winning visual maestro Dominic Savage, the lonely woman is lost in her world. We see her journey into the empty London streets. One day, we will return to the vibrant nightlife. It is only a question of weeks and optimism!
Some Light Into The Dark
The ‘Remember Where You Are’ video represents the struggles between desolation and brighter days. As actress Gemma Arterton explains: “We wanted the video to be at once a love letter to locked-down London; a remembrance of what our wonderful city was and will be again, and a snapshot of this present moment.”
The rainbow colors sprinkle here and there during the six-minute walkthrough. It covers beautifully the visual’s dark theme. Despite the weird era we live in, Jessie Ware, with her sexy and reassuring voice, wants to give us a true message of hope.
