While ‘My Head & My Heart’ may have been released in November, Ava Max is reaching charts after releasing the music video on February 25th. With a dance-pop sound, it was only fitting that the music video features Ava at a club dancing, flashing lights, and what looks like a good time, just like the song. When talking about the video the singer said, “This is hands down my favorite music video I’ve ever done. For the first time, I think my fans will see the true me on the screen and we are just getting started! Come DANCE with me!” Well, we’d say that this video definitely makes us wish we were there with her! Encompassing the feel-good essence of the song, the video features choreographed dances with colorful red and blue lights while Ava Max is just doing what her song represents best, having a good time.

The video was released as she prepared to premiere on Jimmy Kimmel Live where she performed ‘My Head & My Heart.’ Receiving many fans, Ava Max and her hit single reached the Top 40 at Pop Radio and the video has already reached 3 million views on Youtube. This isn’t anything new for the talented pop sensation as in 2018 she first blew up with her song ‘Sweet but Psycho,’ which has been streamed over 2.1 billion times and reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top 100 for three weeks upon its release. ‘My Head & My Heart’ is also featured on the young star’s debut album Heaven & Hell as a bonus track.

Don’t believe us that ‘My head & My Heart’ is truly a bop? Wonderland describes the song saying, “This is pop at its most shimmery and divine.” Meanwhile, Billboard details it as, “Another sweaty, shimmering dance banger.” We can’t agree more! More importantly, we can’t wait for everything else she has planned for 2021.
