It’s been more than a month since Liam Payne‘s last performance for The LP Show and we’re missing him so much. In other words, we’re craving new music! Literally! This week, Capitol UK teased on Instagram that new music is on the way. Guess you are as hyped as us!
While waiting eagerly for his new material, why not travel back in time and enjoy the wonderful covers he smashed on stage. Pure perfection!
‘What About Us?’ – Pink
Liam Payne‘s solo stuff started to rocket up in 2017 with the huge success ‘Strip That Down’ and later ‘Bedroom Floor.’ He went to perform on Sounds Like Friday Night on the BBC during the fall season. For the occasion, he played his version of ‘What About Us?’ from Pink. His voice was true comfort, playing with the notes flawlessly, with all cracked and honest feelings.
‘Waiting For The World To Change’ – John Mayer
Liam Payne is a huge fan of John Mayer, no doubt by how many times he said it in interviews. Influencing his melodic songwriting, that Mayer number suits him to perfection. Who would have believed he would have performed this song for THE QUEEN? Well, he did it, must have been very nervous, but slew it! We’ve still got chills!
‘The Middle’ – Zedd & Maren Morris
The Live Lounge on BBC Radio One has some interesting in depth treasures. One of them is Liam Payne‘s version of ‘The Middle’ by his long-time friend Zedd, who he collaborated with on the smash hit ‘Get Low.’ It just goes from heavenly falsettos to some acoustic mashup of tones, including the fact he also added some lines from Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris’ number one single ‘One Kiss.’
‘Everything I Wanted’ – Billie Eilish
It’s time for you to hold up your tears because this song will make you cry out loud. Liam Payne may be the big pop star with sexy songs, but he also can show emotions and some fragility. We’re all crazy about Billie Eilish‘s powerful and heartbreaking songwriting. This live cover was fire! Probably one of his best covers to date!
‘Circles’ – Post Malone
One word… solid! This performance at SiriusXM studios shows how versatile and large Liam Payne‘s vocal range is. It seemed the song was made for him. The acoustic vibes are a proper medicine for us! Post Malone could be very proud!
