Elah Hale Has Us Listening To ‘Foolish’ On Repeat

If you’re an avid follower of The Honey POP, then you already know our music recommendation game is top-notch, and this one is no exception! Elah Hale has released her new single, ‘Foolish’ and we are here to spill the tea! Trust us, if you’re into chill, groovy songs with lyrics that’ll make you sing along, look no further!

Released via Interscope Records and written by Elah, ‘Foolish’ comes as a break-up anthem as she sings about heartbreak and how a past relationship made her feel. The song has an 80s pop vibe, mellowed with Elah’s soothing vocals. While the song talks about feeling regretful, and vengeful, Elah effortlessly eases her way through the song, creating calmness as you listen in. The chorus feels like you’re riding a wave as she sings “I feel foolish/Thinking I could do this/With someone like you baby/You played me for a fool baby.”

‘Foolish’ comes as Elah’s first release this year, after releasing Room 206 in 2020. The album, which was highly praised, landed on VICE’s list of “26 Essential Albums You Might Have Missed in 2020.” While Room 206 may have been Elah’s first album, the 21-year-old New Yorker is no stranger to music. At a young age, she began playing instruments and writing music, and as a result, leading her to pursue theater in college. After leaving school, she was signed to Interscope Records and is already making waves and receiving significant recognition. We can’t wait to see what she’ll sing about next!
