It’s no secret that we are absolutely in love with Maggie Lindemann and everything she has been doing lately in music. With her recent release of the Paranoia EP, she has been taking over an awesome spot in a pop punk/emo space. And as if we already couldn’t get enough of her, she has just released a cover of one of the best songs of all time, ‘Just A Girl.’
We personally couldn’t think of a better band to cover for Maggie than the iconic No Doubt. Gwen Stefani took the world by storm and honestly owned so much of the 90s and early 2000s with her band No Doubt and it was such an amazing notification to see that Maggie Lindemann had smashed a cover of it out. And there is no better time to cover a song like this than on international women’s day! You can watch her amazing cover below.
The first thing that really stood out to us was the power in Maggie’s vocals right from the start. There is something so great about hearing her bring an energy that captivates and feels so full, while only being her and an acoustic guitar playing. It’s moments like this that really show how mesmerizing music can be. Through so many crucial moments of this track you can hear Maggie bring in levels of emotions that we couldn’t help but obsess over. Her tone is absolute perfection and she brings out those pop punk and emo influences that we grew to love in her Paranoia release. Needless to say, this live video was everything to us!
This isn’t the only news we have from Maggie though as she has just announced that she will be doing a livestream concert from the iconic Roxy Theatre. Her concert is slated for April 9th, 2021 with tickets going on sale March 12, 2021. You can grab tickets for this event at this HERE.
Maggie is a force in music right now and is an artist that should be on everyones radar. We highly suggest that you check out her newest ep, Paranoia and see why we feel so strongly about Maggie! You can stream it here.
