It has been a busy week for fans of Demi Lovato! We are receiving so much information from Demi and her team about her new era and releases! With all of the information coming at 100 miles an hour, it is sometimes hard to keep it all straight. So here is a round-up of all we know about her new album and documentary.
Demi has announced that her seventh album will be called Dancing With The Devil… The Art of Starting Over. The album, which will be released on April 2nd, will consist of 19 songs, with three extra songs on the deluxe album. She currently has signed and non-signed albums available for preorder on her website.
Demi and her team have been teasing us with who the three surprise artists that she has collaborated with will be. Her first collaboration was teased with a clip on Ariana Grande’s Instagram stories, which Demi then reposted to her own Instagram story. Fans were understandably freaking out. We have been waiting for a collab between these two vocal powerhouses for years and we are stoked that it is finally almost here. On March 19th, Demi announced that the second surprise collaboration will be with Saweetie. And on March 20th, she released the name of her last collaborator and it is Noah Cyrus! We cannot wait to hear the music that all of these iconic women have created!
We also recently found out that the album will be a mashup of genres, including country, R&B, and 90’s pop. The album was produced by Demi and her manager, Scooter Braun, and Demi has called it a non-official soundtrack to her documentary. Track by track, the album follows her life over the last couple of years.
Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil
It has been announced that Demi’s documentary, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil, will be released for free as a Youtube Original. The first part of the four-part series will be released on March 23nd, with the last part releasing on April 6th.
The four-part documentary is directed by Michael D. Ratner, and will look at “the superstar’s personal and musical journey during the most trying time of her life as she unearths her prior traumas and discovers the importance of her physical, emotional, and mental health.”
One of the topics in the documentary will be Demi’s near-fatal 2018 overdose and the after-effects of that in her life. There will be interviews with her friends, family, and those who have worked with her. This documentary will be something you don’t want to miss if you are a fan.
