ARMY! Our time has come! BTS has dropped the teaser for their brand new Japanese single ‘Film Out’ and we are so stoked right now.
The new single comes from their upcoming Japanese album BTS, The Best which is set to drop on June 16th. ‘Film Out’ was co-written by Golden Maknae Jungkook and J-pop band Back Number and will be the ending theme for the upcoming Japanese movie IGNAL The Movie Cold Case Investigation Unit, which drops April 2nd along with the track.
With just over a week until the release, the Bangtan Boys have dropped this stunning 31-second cinematic teaser full of captivating shots of the members both in scenes and with backdrops, and a snippet of the single playing in the background.
BTS always knows how to hype up their new releases and have the best teasers to really take the excitement up a level for ARMY. Let’s take a look at some of the best teasers that still give us goosebumps long after the actual release.
‘Boy With Luv’
Man, life was good back then. This teaser drop had us so excited! So much was happening in less than 30 seconds and we just knew a hit was on our hands. The harmonies and backing vocals still send shivers up and down our spine to this day.
With ‘Dynamite’ being BTS’s first all-English single, we just knew it was going to be something special. Disco pop was a huge trend in 2020 and the boys captured it perfectly. The teaser caused so much excitement that ARMY turned it into a trend on TikTok and thus became the Billboard-topping, GRAMMY-nominated smash that even the locals loved!
‘Blood Sweat & Tears’
This dark and sultry teaser definitely had the hairs on the back of our necks stand up. The elaborate outfits, the high-quality sets, it was truly something that caught our attention, and ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’ still remains that BTS song even almost five years later.
‘I Need U’
This one truly felt like a movie trailer and was the portal entry to the Bangtan Universe. The trailer truly pulled in our attention to what would be an incredible music video for what would be their first win at SBS MTV’s The Show – a significant career highlight for the boys.
‘Life Goes On’
In a year where BTS was meant to be meeting ARMY on their world stadium tour, everything came to a standstill because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To deal with the uncertainty around them, Bangtan chose to use this for the concept of their latest album BE, and brought the fans along for the journey of creating the record. ‘Life Goes On‘ served as a title track and it was a beautiful moment to see the finished product of something we saw in development.
Here she is. Our reigning queen! The isolated harmonies and the serene shots of the members sprinkled with clips of the plot beautifully captured the masterpiece that is ‘Spring Day.’ Even to this day, she still climbs the charts to compete with her sibling tracks, but with this much artistry put into the single, are we surprised?
‘No More Dream’
While not every ARMY was there to witness this when it dropped (shoutout to the OGs, you’re true veterans!) it’s a teaser we’ve all spent time to watch and see the humble beginnings of what would become the biggest group on the planet. If only 2013 BTS knew what was to come!
