Taylor Swift Just Released Her First ‘From The Vault’ Track And It’s Pure Country Perfection

Look, Taylor Swift is back and better than ever. We are less than two weeks out from the release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and at this point, we are just trying to figure out how we are going to be able to mentally handle experiencing a new version of ‘White Horse’. In typical Taylor Swift fashion, she took to social media to announce she was releasing her first song that will be one of the six ‘from the vault’ songs on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

We weren’t prepared and are definitely not prepared to hear the other five vault tracks on top of getting to experience the release of an album that shaped parts of our lives all over again. Seeing Taylor Swift get back to her country roots is giving us way too much serotonin.

You All Over Me

The fact that Taylor Swift wrote this song back in 2008 proves that she has always been the all-time greatest lyricist. We have already cried to this track at least 100 times. Taylor is joined on this track by Maren Morris on background vocals, maybe we won with this collab! We are so excited to see her bringing in another country female to elevate these vault tracks.

We have to talk about these lyrics. “You can’t change where it’s been, reminds me of me” who writes like this?? A mastermind that’s who! The line “no amount of freedom gets you clean” just further proves that ‘You All Over Me’ is the little sister to ‘Clean’ which is off her 5th studio album 1989. All in all this track is a solid 10/10 and was everything we wanted out of the vault tracks.

Our Hopes For The Remaining 5 Vault Tracks

Taylor Swift made a point to say that part of the fun of recording these vault tracks that don’t have past versions to replicate is getting to work with artists she loves. That makes us really hopeful that we will be getting a few more collaborations added onto this already stellar album. Including fellow country artists on this project is the ideal situation and one person we are particularly rooting for is our girl Kelsea Ballerini. We’d loved to see even more of Aaron Dessner in the mix as well. He and Taylor Swift were meant to make music together. Seeing that he was going to be involved at all on Fearless (Taylor’s Version) just brought us so much joy.

As far as what tracks we’re hoping make the cut we have our fingers crossed for the fan-favorite unreleased track ‘I’d Lie’. There were versions of the track floating around the internet back in the earlier days of the fandom and it’s a track we can sing word for word. We do indeed go around screaming the words “and if you asked me if I loved him..I’d lie”
