All the Upcoming Hype-Worthy Royal Blood Events

Royal Blood has had a truly explosive return to the spotlight this year beginning with their 2020 release, ‘Trouble’s Coming,’ hitting the top of the US rock charts. Since then, the UK-based rock duo has announced a 2021 packed with a bunch of exciting upcoming events! There’s so many though, that even we’ve been finding it difficult to keep track of everything coming up. So, we’ve put together this quick list to keep you updated on everything upcoming with Royal Blood.

1. March 25th: New Single Alert!

A groove you can have an existential crisis too, ‘Limbo’ follows ‘Trouble’s Coming’ and ‘Typhoons’ as the third single from Royal Blood’s upcoming album. Seriously, these lyrics hit hard. Taking to Twitter, Royal Blood tweeted, “Limbo is about being sick and tired of being sick and tired. Being bored of my own behaviour and the psychological crisis of being utterly lost and helpless to the violent storms of self destruction and addiction.”

Despite the heavy lyrics, ‘Limbo’ is musically the perfect blend of disco and classic RB rock to dance to in the club — you know, when we could have done that. To make it even better, there’s almost two full minutes of instrumental at the end so you can fully appreciate the musical masterpiece this is. Have a listen right here:

2 March 27th: The Bloxy Performance

We’ve already made a big deal over this, but hey, Royal Blood are set to appear as avatars of themselves at this year’s space-themed Bloxy Awards! How cool is that? They’ll be performing ‘Limbo’ for the first time ever, along with two other songs the fans will love. The band has said the virtual show’s gonna be a “cosmic experience” so we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store. You can check out the animated trailer below:

3. April 30th: Album Three Coming Through!

All this talk about ‘Limbo’ and we haven’t even gotten to the best news yet. Royal Blood’s long-awaited 3rd album, Typhoons is coming out in a month! It’s been four long years since Royal Blood have honored us with a full-length studio album and we were beginning to lose hope. When ‘Trouble’s Coming’ dropped in 2020, we knew we were in for one heck of a wild ride. The three singles released up to this point gave us but a taste of the awesomeness coming our way. If you’re as hyped as we are to finally get your hands (and ears) on the complete set of new music, you can head on over to their website for pre-orders and special limited edition perks. To make this even better, ‘Limbo,’ ‘Typhoons’ and ‘Trouble’s Coming’ are all provided as instant downloads when you pre-order the album.

4. May 28th – July 17th: Live, Live, LIVES!

Royal Blood have got a few upcoming live shows and festival performances to brighten up your summer. While these shows may be a little different than previous years, tickets are on sale and you’ll get the joy of experiencing some of their new music in person!

5. August 29th: Victorious Fest Headliners

Royal Blood recently announced that they’d be headlining the Portsmouth Victorious Festival this year, and honestly who wouldn’t be excited to see the guys rock that stage?
