All Hail Queen Rihanna!
Since May of 2005, we’ve been admiring a beautiful, multitalented artist— the one and only—Rihanna. When Pon de Replay first took over the music industry, none of us were prepared for Rihanna’s domination, and that’s why we’re so grateful. Rihanna’s music brought back the originality that was missing from pop music. The 18-year-old girl from Barbados knew what she was capable of and never pumped the brakes. The Queen had us riding through a wave of emotions through her unique voice and impeccable choice of music. There’s not one moment we didn’t ‘Shut Up and Drive’ when we heard Rihanna’s music on the radio. We even had a chance to stand under her ‘Umbrella’ as she took over the charts with 14 number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rihanna has never released a simple body of work. Every single one of her eight albums have been extremely successful, and they’ve left an impact on fans all over the world. Her bodies of art all have different themes and were perfectly executed. They’re so amazing, we can’t choose which one is our favorite. Music of the Sun and A Girl Like Me was the introduction into the heart of a rising superstar. Good Girl Gone Bad and Rated R were the start of the BadGal movement. Loud, Talk That Talk and Unapologetic were released a year after each other, and sounded nothing alike! We love a working, authentic Queen. Anti was a body of work that showed us what we already knew— Rihanna has no competition.

Music is just one aspect of Rihanna’s reign. She created Savage x Fenty, a luxury yet affordable lingerie line that promotes body positivity. Rihanna also created Fenty Beauty, the first beauty line to fulfill the needs of all skin shades. Of course, many other beauty companies had to copy the Queen. Rihanna has trademarked a few more names for her future businesses that we can’t wait to support. She also is one of the very few artists who isn’t afraid to speak up about police brutality, politics and women’s rights.
At The Honey POP, we have so many words to describe Rihanna. From fashion icon to activist to successful businesswoman, there’s simply nothing Rihanna can’t do. She has inspired us to follow our dreams and stay involved in our communities. All Hail Queen Rihanna.
