Tassia Zappia’s Debut Single ‘You Don’t Want Me’ Your Musical Release From Heartbreak

We love our music from Australia, so when we heard the buzz around this new single from Melbourne-born Tassia Zappia, we just had to pop the headphones in and give it a proper listen for all you Honey Poppers out there! You know us, we’re always on the hunt to bring you fresh tunes, and oh boy, ‘You Don’t Want Me’ is it!

A Whirlwind Of Emotions

Tassia Zappia wastes no time to prove just how powerful her voice is with those high notes, reminiscent of the late Amy Winehouse, in the opening measures in ‘You Don’t Want Me.’ Simultaneously, a haunting melody filled with fiery tones spills in our headphones, creating such a vibe we want to dance out our emotions! But as Tassia belts out her heartbreak about the first guy she fell hard for, we can’t help but sing along with her, especially at all those cleverly laid out lyrics with those sassy vocal runs at the end that hooked us from the beginning! If you’re at a crossroads in life after a heartache like Tassia experienced, this song is your anthem, and we already know it’s going to be on heavy rotation for us, regardless of a post-breakup.

After a road trip to California

Inspired by Amy Winehouse’s music, Lauryn Hill and the classics shaped from her parents’ tastes, such as Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley Tassia, started crafting her own songs at 12 years. After a road trip in 2019 to Los Angeles, Tassia Zappia finally had her big break by performing her original composition ‘WHEN I WAS FOUR’ for songwriter Heidi Rojas (Little Mix and Cheryl Cole). The next day she connected with Lauren Christy, formerly known as The Matrix (Avril Lavigne, David Bowie, Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Rihanna) that eventually led her to her deal with Republic Records leading to this track we’re raving about!
