If you thought Miley Cyrus couldn’t get any more wonderful, you thought wrong. Like other stars, she rose to fame through a Disney Channel TV show, the still iconic Hannah Montana, as the main character. 15 years later, she’s still proud of that origin story. So much that she’s celebrating the show on its anniversary. And just like she did back then, Miley is making history now. But this time she doesn’t have a wig, but a partnership with Cash App.
Okay, allow us to explain. Miley and Cash App will be giving away $1 million in stocks to her fans. Our queen Miley is the first person in history to give away this much money. How cool is that? All fans have to do is comment on their $Cashtag and favorite company on her Instagram and Twitter posts for the chance to win. The campaign started on March 31st and will be going on until April 13th. This partnership, on top of being awesome, is a reminder of how much Miley values investing in yourself.
So, this news got us thinking about how many times we’ve seen this amazing woman reminds us of how taking care of ourselves is important. With that in mind, we thought we’d share our top 3 Miley Cyrus songs about being true to yourself and putting yourself first.
‘Oh my gosh, she got the power’ indeed. This is a whole song about women being allowed to be themselves and not caring what others may think of them for doing so.
An actual anthem for getting out of a toxic relationship, ‘FU’ is what anyone should say to a partner who does them wrong. And hearing that in Miley’s powerful vocals really drives home the message.
Name lyrics that hit harder on the self-love department than the ones in ‘Midnight Sky.’ “Lotta years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes. Forever and ever, no more,” come on! This is a song we should all listen to at least once a day just for the confidence boost the lyrics bring.
