It’s a commonly known fact by now that we are avid Catie Turner fans. She’s this incredible rising star that we are so glad we’ve been on board for since the beginning. From American Idol to now we’ve been amazed by her honesty in her music. Every song is a complete slam dunk!
To celebrate the release of ‘Mama’ we are going to go through a few of our favorite Catie Turner tracks and gush all about them!
Anyone who is close to their ‘Mama’ will probably cry during this track. What a beautiful tribute to the woman that is obviously the biggest part of Catie’s life. It’s just one of those tracks that makes you feel so warm and makes you want to pick up the phone and call your ‘Mama’ asap. And Catie’s vocals are suburb here. Some of her best we’ve heard yet!
What a raw song this is. It’s a look into how it feels to be a wallflower and it still feels just as much like it got ripped out of our diary listening today as it did when it first came out. It’s a track so many people can see themselves in. We think that is part of Catie Turner and her beauty as an artist, she helps other people feel seen while pouring her heart out into music.
21st Century Machine
This was our first taste of Catie Turner. She performed this track in her audition for American Idol and much like the judges we’ve been smitten ever since. It’s such an unfiltered look into how media affects everyone, especially young women. It’s both heartbreaking and just straight up facts.
This is probably our most listened to Catie Turner track. It’s just one of the greatest drops so far this year. We still can’t get over how tragic it is that we haven’t driven through New York City at night with ‘Play God’ blaring through our speakers. Life is cruel. We need everyone to listen to this track immediately and fall as in love with it as we have.
A party about not wanting to party? Count us in! We also feel like we don’t always fit in at parties so we totally feel you, Catie Turner! Also no, we aren’t letting the line “this isn’t quite the teenage dream I thought that it would be” slip us by. Pure genius and a way to incorporate Katy Perry into the track.
