Growing tired of your same old music and crave listening to something new? Well, you’re in for a treat! Green Day just recently launched Oakland Coffee House, a virtual space for users to enjoy music and community. During these times, we have all gotten creative in how we communicate with our fellow earthlings. Of course, we’re talking about the likes of virtual happy hours on zoom and even hosting movie nights on Discord. Sit down, grab a cup of joe, and enjoy some refreshing music with your fellow virtual concert-goers.
Visitors of the site will get to enjoy access to exclusive content such as their Sorta Live series. It provides a platform for East Bay talent and other artists. The first paid event of this series began yesterday and users can sign up for free. Catch the first episode and purchase tickets here. The episode featured Jason White of Green Day, Brontez Purnell, and Whateverglades. Of course, this will be an ongoing series and music lovers can regularly look forward to future content being posted.
Green Day will be doing the lord’s work by using the revenue from ticket sales to support the performers from this series. We stan supporting local artists. Free Stuff Rewards VIP and All Access members have free access to all Sorta Live episodes and obtain early access to additional curated content.
A Blast From The Past
If that’s not enough, get ready to do circle pits in your living room. Green Day will provide fans with rare footage of their shows from the vault for that touch of nostalgia. Hearing ‘Basket Case’ took us back to our punk days of studded belts, septum piercings, and liberty spikes. As they say, punk is not dead. Moreover, fans can view the videos for free by signing up for Oakland Coffee’s Free Stuff Rewards here.
Any underrated artists you’re hoping to be featured in the future? Which Green Day songs are you hoping they bring from the vault? Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting us @TheHoneyPOP or hit us up on Facebook and Instagram!
