We caught Weezer live at the Walt Disney Concert Hall as they played their latest album, OK Human. To say we were wowed is an understatement.
On April 16th, Weezer invited us to catch them live on stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall via NoCap. They were joined by the talented people of the LA Phil and the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles. The show will only stream three times, so if you missed the debut, don’t worry – we’ll give you a rundown
Weezer – ‘All My Favorite Songs’
If you’re a fan of Weezer (if not wyd?), you already know that they rock the stage. So it was no surprise to us to see a performance full of precision and passion. The band set to play OK Human opened up with the single ‘All My Favorite Songs.’ Meticulous and magical, the band and orchestra made this song sound even better, if humanly possible. Vocal nirvana was reached with songs ‘Numbers’ and ‘Birds With A Broken Wing’ providing a powerful punch of the most melodic rock.

The views of the iconic building and stage illuminate the sheer beauty of the band’s performance. As the show slinks into exquisiteness, we’re treated to ‘Dead Roses,’ and its haunting beauty. Using an organ to intro followed by flawless piano playing on ‘Every Thing Happens For A Reason’ the lightheartedness is brought back into the performance.
Weezer – ‘Dead Roses’
The band, of course, couldn’t forget fans by playing all the iconic favorites we have grown to know and love over the years. Including songs ‘Say It Ain’t So,’ ‘Island In The Sun’ (a song so perfect for this band that we could scream), ‘Buddy Holly’ and the band’s killer cover of ‘Africa’ originally by Toto.
The show went off without a hitch and was both visually and sonically pleasing, and was one that we are so grateful to have experienced. Did you catch Weezer Live?
