Saweetie Is Giving Us Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 To Get Us Through Our Summer

Saweetie has become our favorite hype woman. All of her tracks just put us in the best mood and make us feel like the baddest in the room. And that is precisely the kind of vibes we need going into the summer of 2021, especially after the mess that was the summer of 2020.

While we wait (not so) patiently for Saweetie’s debut album Pretty Btch Music, Saweetie blessed us with this EP Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 to hold us over. The EP is full of killer collaborations that we can’t wait to dive into!

We still aren’t over how good ‘Best Friend’ with Doja Cat is, so we have to take a full seven business days to process this seven-track project that we were nowhere near prepared for!

‘Risky (feat. Drakeo the Ruler)’

If you need a song for a night out, ‘Risky’ is for you! It’s upbeat and very on track with a song you’d want blaring in a club because it is 100% guaranteed to get everyone to have a good time hype. ‘Risky’ is setting all the right vibes for what Saweetie has coined as a pretty bitch summer, and we were so impressed with Drakeo’s verse. We are definitely going to check out his solo stuff!

‘Baby Mama Coochie’ with Bbyafricka

If you’re a Bbyafricka fan, you’re probably well aware that this track actually came to us from her album, Brain Damage. We could not imagine a better person to get on this remix than Saweetie. The energy matches up perfectly, and it took the song to even higher heights. Whenever we want to remind ourselves that we are indeed that bitch we will be blasting this song.

‘See Saw’ with Kendra Jae

Talk about a relatable track! This is a complete callout to shitty men, and we are here for it! When a partner doesn’t treat you right, the ultimate revenge can come in the form of a pointed song, ‘See Saw’ ultimately gets that concept!! Based on our track record in relationships, we can tell this track will be played a lot.

‘Pretty & Rich’

This is the exact energy we want to see from Saweetie! She is fully aware she’s that girl and isn’t afraid of who knows it! This is one of two solo tracks on the EP, and we have to say so far, it’s a favorite of ours. It’s the perfect song to listen to while getting ready either for your typical day or for a night out just because it preaches so much self-love, and that’s what we all need more of.

‘Back Seat’ feat. Lourdiz

This is it. This is our favorite track on this EP. It’s completely different from any other tracks, and we can’t stop listening to it. And on a side note, Lourdiz is killer! Listen to her entire discography immediately. The concept of the song is simple. We don’t need anything fancy, hooking up in the back seat is entirely okay! And you know what? We are here for that energy. Get your life and hook up with who you please where you please!

‘Talkin’ Bout’ with Loui

This is another one of those tracks that Saweetie is actually the featured artist, and the track is marked as Loui’s song. And if this is what we have to look forward to with his music, we are going to have to do a deep dive! We are loving how comfortable Saweetie is on this record with expressing her sexuality. We should normalize grown-ass women being able to do as much as men in this industry!

‘Sweat Check’

Yes, we are starting this off by shouting out that Corey In The House reference! When we heard “Countin’ up a mil’ in the house like Corey,” we squealed because we love that line and throwback so much! This was the perfect closer to an EP we are going to play the hell out of! This whole project had the same energy we hoped it would, and we simply can’t wait for the album!
