Waterparks Drop Brand New Music Video For ‘You’d Be Paranoid Too (If Everyone Was Out To Get You)’

2021 has been an incredibly good year for Waterparks so far and we’re only a few months in. With the announcement of their fourth upcoming album Greatest Hits and four songs from the album, they really haven’t stopped feeding us this year! Their latest release came out on Wednesday named ‘You’d Be Paranoid Too (If Everyone Was Out To Get You)’ including a brand new music video that dropped Friday, and we’re obsessed with it!

The music video begins with Awsten, Geoff, and Otto all dressed in tracksuits representing the primary color era, Red, Blue, and Yellow. With them soon all switching roles and pretending to be each other. It makes the viewer feel just as paranoid as to how Awsten describes within the lyrics. Already the music video fits the lyricism of the song perfectly! It then pans out to see Waterparks in their natural habitat, playing the song live. Through the lens of several mobile phone screens, a manner in which many seem to see live shows these days. Encapsulating how life can be lived through a phone screen and social media without taking time to look up from your phone and live in the moment. That’s our take anyway!

The whole video in general is pretty random and entertaining to watch. The scenes change quickly, going from Waterparks performing to Awsten lifting weights in only a matter of seconds. It matches the feel of the song completely and gives you an insight into what the band is like outside of their music (A lot of fun!) The video then ends with a super cute clip of the dog featured within some scenes licking Awsten’s face, totally adorable!

Waterparks have also dropped a lot of merchandise with the announcement of the album. It includes T-shirts, CDs, vinyl and even cassettes! The band has also been announced as a featured artist for the UK festival Slam Dunk as well as a huge UK and Europe tour in 2022! This band truly doesn’t rest!
