We love when artists take one of our favorite songs, decide to put a little twist on it, and then rerelease it back into the world like a butterfly straight out of a cocoon. That is just what Written By Wolves did when they enlisted the help of Sleeping With Sirens frontman, Kellin Quinn, for a reimagined version of ‘Help Me Through The Night.’
The original version of this song is from Written by Wolves’ debut album Secrets, which was released in 2019. The song tells the story of questioning the “role of fate in the dark times.” It’s got all the workings of a hit song on its own, and it fully deserves more recognition, but adding Kellin’s standout vocals and vocal styling to the new version has added a dynamic element that we hadn’t realized was missing. The best part is that his part on the song adds to the song and doesn’t take away from the emotional meaning and in-depth lyrics, which is what we love to see in a good collab! Can we also talk about Written By Wolves’ mind-blowing vocals here? Those harmonies are to-die-for and are full-on swoon-worthy.
About the songs meaning, Michael Murphy, the band’s vocalist had this to say:
“People often talk about fate in the good times but not so much when things go wrong. It is about questioning your place in the world and hoping that the struggles you are going through in life aren’t ‘meant to be’. However, the underlying message in this song is hope. Hope that what you are going through is not preordained and is within your control to change.”Michael Murphy, Written By Wolves vocalist

If you’re loving this collab and are craving more, don’t fret! This is the first collab in the band’s collaboration project, and all the collaborations will be released as an EP later this year! We have high expectations for the rest of the reimagined songs and are so looking forward to seeing who will be joining them on future projects!
