Lauran Hibberd Is Back With ‘Bleugh’ And We’re Shouting It

Lauran Hibberd Is Back With ‘Bleugh’ And We’re Shouting It

Lauran Hibberd is back with her new single ‘Bleugh,’ and it does not disappoint! Listen to ‘Bleugh’ here.

The new tune is a little bit different from Hibberd’s previous records, but we are so not mad about it. The English spoken word featured in the verses of the song from Hibberd just hits so differently, and we absolutely love it. Lauran, please make this a common occurrence! The track also includes Lauran’s distinctive vocals and slacker-pop style, of course.

The new track is another single from her upcoming sophomore EP, Goober. The singles so far keep getting better and better, and here at The Honey POP, we’re practically on the edge of our seats waiting for this next EP.

Goober follows her debut EP, Everything is Dogs (best EP name ever), which includes so many fan-favorite records. If you haven’t already heard Lauran Hibberd’s music, it is safe to say she is incredible.

“’Bleugh’ is the only sound that sums up my adult reaction to my pre-naive self,” says Hibberd. “It’s about always being attracted to people who’ve got nothing going on, nothing to offer you, yet it’s that hamster wheel you can’t quite jump off. It’s my favourite track of mine, and I’ve been sitting on and incubating this girl for a while. It feels really good shouting ‘Bleugh’ by the way, I recommend you try it out.”

We just shouted it at the top of our lungs, and we can confirm it does, in fact, feel amazing. The new track follows on from Hibberd’s most recent single, ‘How Am I Still Alive?’ featuring The Regrettes’ Lydia Night. We’re still not bored of the powerful ladies’ record, and now with ‘Bleugh’ added to the list, we think we will probably listen to the two records back to back until Goober‘s release on the 30th of July.

Lauran Hibberd – ‘How Am I Still Alive (with Lydia Night)’

Every day Lauran Hibberd gets more and more praise, and it’s what she deserves! We’ve watched Lauran grow in herself and her work since touring with The Regrettes back in 2019, and we really can’t wait to see what the future brings her.

Goober is about to make our summer even brighter, and we are so ready for it. Even when summer is over, we have Lauran’s tour to look forward to in October. We are getting fed. Buy your tickets here for the best night ever.
