Machine Gun Kelly Puts On An Epic Venice Beach Concert!

Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly is no stranger to doing outrageous and unpredictable things but performing a pop-up show on the rooftop at the rainbow lifeguard tower in Venice Beach definitely has to be in the top 10.

Yesterday, legendary pop-punk/rap artist MGK put on a surprise gig for fans in the Los Angeles area. The performer sent out an Instagram story the day before hinting to be at Venice Beach at 3 pm with no reasoning as to why as well as a tweet the day of the show.

After arriving at the beach, fans were astounded to find the 6″4 rapper on the rooftop with Travis Barker, his band, and a lot of speakers! The show was in aid of MGK’s latest album Tickets To My Downfall going platinum. The setlist for the show contained mainly songs from his newest album and some old classics like ‘I Think I’m Okay!’ Considering he hasn’t been able to perform for over a year, this didn’t stop MGK. Kells put on an unforgettable set so that this gig didn’t lose any of the energy that a normal Machine Gun Kelly show would have!

As well as the band performing alongside MGK and Travis, there were also a lot of famous attendees at this show including Machine Gun Kelly’s girlfriend Megan Fox, Travis Barker‘s girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, Mod sun, and even Addison Rae! That must’ve been one fun after party!

Not even a year after the release of his last album, Machine Gun Kelly states he will be dropping some news on the next body of work he has in store for us. The announcement came during the show that was being live-streamed by Kells’ friend Dub and NoCap Shows on Instagram!

After a long year of no live music, it was amazing to see fans enjoying a show again. It was also great to see fans all around the world being able to attend the gig live. Undoubtedly, this was a small step back to normality and for the future of live music. It gives us hope that it won’t be too long before gigs start opening up again. We here at The Honey POP are so excited to see live shows slowly making a comeback! We also can’t wait to find out what album news MGK has in store for us in July!
