Can We Be Real About The New Brynn Elliott EP?

The day is finally here! Brynn Elliott has released her EP Can I Be Real?! The seven-track EP has been on repeat for us since its release, so we knew we had to talk to you guys about it! Every track was so perfectly crafted and placed. Brynn Elliott did an incredible job making Can I Be Real? sonically cohesive.

‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’

Of course, we had to include the song that first introduced us to Brynn Elliott. ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty ’ was the track we heard, and we’re automatically convinced we needed to listen to everything else she ever put out. It’s an anthem for people everywhere to see the beauty in themselves and to not look for others to validate their beauty.

‘Can I Be Real?’

We had to include the title track! ‘Can I Be Real?’ is the perfect summer-pop track. It’s immediately going on all of our playlist rotations and has become the standout from the EP for us! When listening to the track we can see Brynn Elliott being right up there with the best of the best in pop music.

‘Call Me Stupid’

Brynn Elliott gets it. She gets the concept of throwing caution to the wind when it comes to love. While it can be a toxic headspace to be in, the headspace of thinking about going back to a flame that’s already burned you, it’s also relatable and makes for one hell of a pop song.

‘Masterpiece’ to us is the sister song to ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty.’ The messages, while different, feel like they’re in the same vein. Everyone needs to hear that without the dark stuff life throws at you, you wouldn’t have a ‘Masterpiece.’ Especially after the last year we’ve had, that’s the best possible attitude we could all have.

‘Letter To A Girl’

What an incredibly beautiful track. We tested up a bit at the line “On the inside, it’s a goldmine.” Everyone has off days where you don’t feel your best, but hearing this line just makes us feel like we’re worthy. Leave it to Brynn Elliott to pen yet another incredibly moving song.
