Troye Sivan – ‘could cry just thinkin about you’

‘could cry just thinkin about you’ is a song where you can feel the emotion so intensely in Troye Sivan’s voice. He has said he wrote ‘could cry just thinkin about you’ while crying on the kitchen floor as his life was falling apart. And honestly, we feel you Troye! We have found ourselves crying on the kitchen floor while listening along.

Lewis Capaldi – ‘Bruises’

The line “I hope I never lose the bruises that you left behind” breaks our hearts. You have to be so in love to want to remember the worst parts of a relationship to keep that relationship alive in your head. Lewis Capaldi has one of the most incredible voices in the industry so you can have chills to go with your tears.

Ed Sheeran – ‘Happier’

The first time we heard this track we burst into tears. There is not a line sadder than “I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours.” That gut-wrenching feeling of seeing the person you love so much ‘Happier’ with someone else is a feeling only Ed Sheeran could put into words this beautifully.

Demi Lovato – ‘Dancing With The Devil’

If you’ve ever battled with addiction, you know why ‘Dancing With The Devil’ hits so hard. Demi has always done such an incredible job of making their pain and experiences into the rawest form of art. The music video is a bit hard to watch still, that’s how impacted we are by these words, even months after release.

Taylor Swift – ‘this is me trying’

We always feel like we’ve gotten hit by a truck after hearing ‘this is me trying.’ Taylor Swift has a way with her pen that is unlike any other artist in the game. If you watched Long Pond Studio Sessions, you know that the overlaying message of ‘this is me trying’ is about how not giving up is the ultimate act of trying.
