Since our first listen, Dynoro has quickly risen to the top of our lists of one of our fave DJ’s, and we don’t think that will ever change. The Lithuanian DJ and producer has quickly gained fame and attention for his immense amount of talent in what he does. If you happen to be in the EDM scene you probably know about a little thing called Tomorrowland. Well, he played there and blew fans, and nonfans away, as everyone knew he would. Most recently he has teamed up with another talented rapper, and also one of our “Ones to watch,” 24kGoldn, as they released the dance hit, ‘Monsters.’ The hit track has gained a lot of attention, because, well, it’s a bop.
We recently got the chance to talk to Dynoro all about his collab with 24kGoldn ‘Monsters,’ his fave artist that most won’t expect, and what the future holds.
Where do you often find your inspiration when creating music?
It comes naturally since music is a part of who I am. Every day inspires me in some way, like new experiences, adventures, journeys, emotional ups, and downs. Through music, I can express my thoughts and realize myself.
How did the collaboration with 24kGoldn come about and what was the process like creating ‘Monsters’ together?
The development of ‘Monsters’ was a long and exciting journey for sure. The whole idea for this project came to me more than a year ago. So basically, after the instrumentals and the chorus were ready, the track required proper vocals to fulfill the idea and luckily, I’ve received the opportunity to work with 24kGoldn. He is a very talented artist who understood the vibe perfectly, so I cannot be happier with the result. Overall, the collaboration went very smoothly, and after he stepped in, we managed to complete this project pretty quickly.
The music video for ‘Monsters’ is pretty epic, it seems like a literal short film, can you tell us what your initial reaction was to watching the finished music video? What was your favorite part of the video?
I was very impressed after seeing the final result. The whole video has many layers, starting with the magnificent aesthetics, intriguing script, remarkable cast performance, and the unique song idea’s interpretation. If I need to pick out some of my favorite parts, it would probably be the kids’ acting skills and their ability to perform those awesome martial arts moves, the amazingly creepy monster’s appearance, and of course 24kGoldn’s performance. I wouldn’t exclude just one part, but I think that the kids deserve exceptional praise, and I wish them the best of luck with their future careers.
If you could create a short film of one or two of your songs, which ones would make the cut?
Definitely ‘In My Mind’ – a lot of new adventures started and a lot of opportunities have opened for me with this song.
Have you ever thought about dabbling in other genres in the future?
In fact, I enjoy experimenting with lots of different music genres, so we will see.
What has been your all-time favorite performance of yours and why?
2019 was huge for me. I had my tour, many festivals, and events across Europe with wonderful audiences and stages. But still, my personal favorite would be in my home country Lithuania that same year at Festival Granatos Live.
If you could only perform one song for the rest of your life, what song would it be?
That sounds more like a curse than a choice. But being serious, I truly cannot imagine sticking only to one song since every one of them has its own story and sentimentality. Relying on only one successful song would be the end of creativity.
And a fun question, who is an artist or group on your playlist that your fans wouldn’t expect to be on there and what song of theirs is always on repeat?
There is one artist, who has been one of my favorites for a long time and I don’t think that my fans are aware of that – it’s Eldzhey, and his song ‘Letsgirit (gosha remix).’
What does the rest of 2021 hold for Dynoro?
Even though the hype is still high with the ‘Monsters’ release, I continue to work on other projects, and hopefully, I can share them with my listeners soon.
Finally, do you have any parting words you would like to say to your fans?
I couldn‘t be thankful enough for all of my fans and supporters all around the world. Without them, I would not be able to share my passion and love for music, so thank you all for being with me on this phenomenal journey!
We can’t wait to see what Dynoro comes out with next, but for now, we’ll be jamming out to ‘Monsters,’ you can stream alongside us, here.
