‘hot girl bummer’

You will be hard-pressed to find a better song to scream the words to than ‘hot girl bummer.’ Since our first listen, we have been obsessed with this song, ’hot girl bummer’ is an absolute home run on blackbear’s part. All summer long, you will hear us screaming the words, “this that hot girl bummer anthem, turn it up and throw a tantrum.”

When we think back to first discovering blackbear, we think about ‘idfc.’ This song embodies the sound we first fell in love with from blackbear, and it is a sound we think fits him perfectly. Moody-deep lyrics accompanied by slower instrumentals are a recipe for success.

‘queen of broken hearts’

Easily, ‘queen of broken hearts’ is our favorite track on blackbear’s album everything means nothing. It’s pop forward mixed with a new-age punk sound that we feel artists like blackbear and Machine Gun Kelly have helped pioneer. If we get to hear ‘queen of broken hearts’ live this year, we will consider it the ultimate win.

‘90210’ feat. G-Eazy

It’s no small accomplishment to be on a song with G-Eazy and still be the one who’s shining. We can hardly believe it’s been six (!!) years since we were blessed with ‘90210.’ It’s always been the ultimate song to put on and vibe to on repeat for hours.

‘do re mi’

We couldn’t possibly talk about our favorite blackbear songs without mentioning at least one track from digital druglord. Arguably, ‘do re mi’ is one of blackbear’s most commercially successful songs. And for a good reason! It’s a straight-up good time.
