7 Of Our Favorite Female Rap Collaborations

7 Of Our Favorite Female Rap Collaborations

We’ve all been losing our minds ever since Lizzo announced she was releasing brand new single ‘Rumors’ on August 13th. Now, it’s gotten even better – the single will feature rap powerhouse and icon Cardi B! This might be the collaboration of our dreams?! So, to celebrate, and to keep us content whilst we wait for Friday, we’ve put together a list of some of the best ever female rap collaborations!

We’ve been dying for some new Lizzo goodness since she released 2019’s Cuz I Love You, so this new single potentially being the start of a new album rollout is super exciting. Plus, we all know Cardi B is the absolute Queen of collabs – from last month’s ‘Wild Side’ with Normani, to the truly, truly iconic ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion.

So vibe with us, as we celebrate these bad*ass women, who came together to create some of the best musical collabs ever!

‘Kiss Me More’ Doja Cat Feat. SZA

Doja Cat’s lead single from Planet Her is still sitting pretty at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, so it’s only fair to start with this one! It’s one of the catchiest songs of the summer and already has more than 580 million streams on Spotify, in just four months!

‘Get On Your Knees’ Nicki Minaj Feat. Ariana Grande

Ari and Nicki have collaborated together so many times we’ve lost count – and that’s not a bad thing! This is definitely one of our faves though, released in 2014, Pinkprint is already proving it’s an album with longevity, and this is a top tier track. Ariana’s sultry, smooth vocals with Nicki’s tongue-in-cheek verses are a match made in heaven.

‘Confetti (Remix)’ Little Mix Feat. Saweetie

It’s been just over three months since ‘Confetti (Remix)’ dropped and we still haven’t recovered! Little Mix and Saweetie are artists who celebrate women and empowerment, and this song is no exception. Every time we listen to this, our self-esteem soars! Plus, the official video, which features Little Mix as Drag Kings, a concept they’d apparently wanted to do for years, is honestly insane!

‘Lady Marmalade’ Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya & P!nk

Look, we couldn’t talk about female rap collabs and not bring ‘Lady Marmalade’ up. We were really blessed with Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Lil’ Kim and Mya, all on one track! Can you believe this song is twenty years old already?! Well, it’s aging like a fine wine and it really does set the bar for all other female rap collabs on this list. “Where’s all my soul sistas?”

‘Good As Hell (Remix)’ Lizzo Feat. Ariana Grande

After the release of Cuz I Love You, we saw what seemed like every track on the album blow up as a single, including ‘Good As Hell.’ Then, Ariana hopped on a remix, so obviously, the song went astronomical.

‘Woman Like Me’ Little Mix Feat. Nicki Minaj

Yet another song on this list that makes us feel like royalty every time we listen! The first single from LM5, ‘Woman Like Me’ ushered in a new era for Little Mix, whilst also ticking off every one of their trademarks. Plus, the styling in this music video is next level! This is an iconic So, to celebrate, and to keep us content whilst we wait for Friday, we’ve put together a list of some of the best ever female rap collaboration!

‘WAP’ Cardi B Feat. Megan Thee Stallion

One of the most talked-about music videos last year, and one of the best songs too. The song has already amassed over 870 million Spotify streams, plus hit Billboard Hot 100 number one. This song is the perfect example of what happens when two icons come together to create an absolute smash! Also, let’s not forget Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B’s legendary performance of ‘WAP’ at The 2021 GRAMMYs.

We truly cannot wait to see what Lizzo and Cardi B have come up with for ‘Rumors!’ The single is out on Friday, August 13th and you can pre-save ‘Rumors’ here.
