After two years of waiting, it is finally here! The Hella Mega Tour, headlined by Green Day, with support from Fall Out Boy, Weezer, and The Interrupters, hit Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL on Sunday, August 15th, 2021. A dream come true concert for everyone that grew up listening to punk and rock music. And a night filled with iconic musicians.
For most of the sold-out crowd, this was their first concert since early 2020 or even 2019, and we cannot think of a better show to kick off your concert season with! Thus, the experience from crowd surfing to finger-pointing and all-night lyric-yelling, the energy and atmosphere were sensational.
Between songs, Chicago’s very own, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy spoke about this tour almost not happening. But, followed that up with “I guess what I’m trying to say is, Dream Big, ya know?”
