The time has arrived! Orla Gartland has released her debut album Woman on the Internet! As Orla Gartland herself has said, Woman on the Internet is all about the chaos of her 20’s! With so many of us also in our 20’s, this album was made for us. We’ve listened it through multiple times and have come up with our golden trio of songs on the record. It’s about time we break those down for you!
Listen to Woman on the Internet here!
‘You’re Not Special,Babe’
‘You’re Not Special, Babe’ is the ultimate track to turn on when you’re feeling overwhelmed by your own mind. When life gets a bit too hard, when you’re worried about body image, you just have to remember you’re not alone in your problems. You’re not special in the sense that so many other people can relate to the voices in your head. Orla Gartland earns herself a spot on the list of our favorite lyricists for this one.
‘Over Your Head’
If you’re looking for the sun-soaked breath of fresh air, ‘Over Your Head’ is for you! You’re not going to be hit with the intense emotional lyrics like in ‘You’re Not Special, Babe.’ Instead, you’ll want to dance around a room where the sun can be seen peaking in. That is the exact vibe this song exudes.
‘Codependency’ hits us way too hard. Realizing you rely on another person’s happiness to find your own is such a tough internal battle. ‘Codependency’ can be debilitating, Maybe we just love a good sad song, but ‘Codependency’ takes the cake as our number one favorite track off Woman on the Internet.
