BTS are forever on their incline in the music industry, gaining popularity and outdoing each release. While they work on a large amount of their work alone and absolutely smash it, sometimes the septet will recruit some artists to feature with them to offer something fresh and as multistans it truly has us thriving. We’re sharing with you six of our favorite BTS collabs that the world needs to know about and are worthy of a place on your playlist.
‘Butter’ Featuring Megan Thee Stallion
Following the success of their single ‘Butter’ which dominated the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks, BTS recruited Megan Thee Stallion for the official remix. Megan adds that extra bit of spice to this hot summer smash as she delivers her own fire verse oozing with her confident personality before harmonizing on the song’s original rap with Suga and RM. We are honestly in love with the remix and it really feels like a great addition to the hit song’s era. Plus with both artists being fans of each other, we are living for the energy surrounding it!
‘All Night’ Featuring Juice WRLD
This is such an underrated gem. Coming from the soundtrack of their game BTS World, the unit track features RM and Suga who are joined by the late Juice WRLD and it’s a seriously saucy song. The hip hop track infused with groovy beats was co-written by the trio and though ARMY can truly appreciate this banger, we feel like it for sure should have had the chance to be heard more by the general public because it’s truly *chef kiss.*
‘Boy With Luv’ Featuring Halsey
Now, could you really see us sleeping on the queen when listing BTS’s iconic collabs? Absolutely not! ‘Boy With Luv’ is a product from the friendship of the KPOP phenomenon and the iconic artist Halsey. We love everything about the eight of them being friends with one another and though it’s been two years since this banger was released, we’re still not over it. The fun and spunky pop song is such a mood booster and a staple to introducing new listeners to their discography. We’re seriously hoping this isn’t the only collab we’ll see from them!
‘Idol’ Featuring Nicki Minaj
BTS + rappers = purely iconic. The queen that is Nicki Minaj hopped on a new version of their 2018 hit ‘Idol’ and truly gave the song a new lease of life. She delivered a rap verse on the EDM pop bop which truly had ARMY hyped AF over the fresh new addition to the already widely love single. We love it when music giants work together.
‘Mic Drop Steve Aoki Remix’
Another collab between friends, Steve Aoki joined BTS for another feature when he delivered a remix of the massive anthem ‘Mic Drop.’ The hype track was given a revamp by the DJ and featured new English lyrics in addition to the already iconic Korean verses and truly heightened the energy of the track. You can still catch us at THP HQ vibing to this to get ourselves psyched.
‘Dream Glow’ Featuring Charli XCX
Listen. The entire BTS World soundtrack seriously deserves more recognition and love because these collabs are among the best of all the artists who have teamed up with the Bangtan Boys but not enough people are aware of them. ‘Dream Glow’ is a unit track with Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook featuring British pop star Charli XCX and is a sweet synth-pop track that is full of chilled vibes. Their vocals blend to perfection on this song and again, we are wondering why on Earth more people aren’t aware of this underrated gem.
