‘Love Him I Don’t’

You Signed Up For This is chalked full of soft pop like ‘Love Him I Don’t.’ Loving someone who is no good and coming to that realization and ending things comes with a sense of power. We can feel that radiating throughout this song. The line “you’re bad in the bones so I’m just going home” is one we can’t get over.

We’ve been obsessed with this sun-soaked pop track since we first heard ‘Psycho.’ We’ve been the girl who’s been portrayed as crazy, and now we have an anthem for when that situation arises. If you’re looking for the best of modern bubble-gum pop music, look no further than ‘Psycho.’

‘Boy’ is reminiscent of early Rachel Platten tracks. The song feels so light, and yet the lyrics really hit when you listen carefully. We’re always going to support someone calling out a toxic partner in a song, that’s just what Maisie Peters does here.

It’s true what they say, New York changes you. To us, it seems like ‘Brooklyn’ is all about not being the girl you used to be, being a new person in the city. We do have to say, ‘Brooklyn’ is our number one favorite song on You Signed Up For This.

‘Elvis Song’

As massive Elvis Presley fans and massive Maisie Peters fans, ‘Elvis Song’ is a dream. We did indeed cry to this song, while it’s no particularly melancholy, the lyrics hit. So many of us have that person that might just always be on our minds, that’s who we think about as this song plays.
