Binge-Worthy Buzz: The Hottest New Content Just For You

Hello, honeybees, and welcome to another edition of Binge-Worthy Buzz, our weekly series where we recommend you a list of new things to watch. There’s always something new coming out on all the streaming services and channels we love and, because we love you so much, we’re here to help you pick out the best stuff for you to binge-watch every week. Now, enough of us talking, let’s dive in!

The Circle

That’s right, folks! The Netflix reality show The Circle has a whole new season dropping on September 8. We think our attachment to this show might have come from the fact that all the interactions happen via social media and the participants don’t ever see one another in person (sound familiar?) It reminds us a little of shows like Big Brother mixed with a bit of Catfish. And remember, “anyone can be anyone in The Circle.”

Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.

We don’t know if you remember Doogie Howser, M.D., but even if you don’t, we still think you should watch Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. The show focuses on Doogie Kameāloha, a 16-year-old doctor from Hawai’i. Juggling being a teenager and a full-time medical prodigy has got to be hard, but we’re here for it, and we’re sure Doogie will win all our hearts as soon as we sit down to watch her show on Disney+.

Come From Away

Once again, we’re here to talk about Broadway. You know how much we love ourselves a good musical, so the newest Apple TV release was the best news of the week. Friday, September 10 marks the day a recorded version of Come From Away becomes available for our viewing pleasure. Based on real events, this musical tells the story of when the American airspace was closed after the 9/11 attacks and 38 planes were redirected to a small town in Canada. Definitely worth a watch even if you aren’t a huge fan of musicals.

Sex Education

We seriously cannot recommend this show enough. Who knew we’d all fall in love with the story of a British boy who starts a clandestine sex clinic at his school along with the girl he has a crush on, right? But we did, and now we’ll be rewatching the first two seasons on Netflix while we wait for season 3 to drop on September 17. Care to join us?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Are you surprised we’re recommending you watch a Marvel movie? But seriously, Shang-Chi deserves all the praise we can give. One of the best origin stories Marvel has ever told, this movie is as much about the Ten Rings that are central to Shang-Chi as a superhero as it is about Shang-Chi as a person and his complicated relationships with different people. All in all, such a great story you won’t even see time pass once you’re in the theatre.

And we’ve reached the end of this week’s Binge-Worthy Buzz! We hope you’ve enjoyed it and stay around to read more! If you want, you can tell us your thoughts in the comments or tweet us @TheHoneyPOP!
