Scott Helman’s New Single Is Just So ‘Pretty!’

Combining fun rhythms, relatable lyrics, and an undeniable energy, Scott Helman is turning the world into his stage! His new single ‘Pretty’ touches on insecurity and self-doubt in the digital age, and we at THP can’t get enough of his slick vocals and honesty.

This song was a big step for me in exploration and limits. I wanted to take myself as far as I could down the line of ‘uncomfortable’ while still maintaining what feels like me. Ultimately, I thought it was such a special thought – the idea that someone can be so beautiful that you just want a bit of them to become part of you. In that thought, there is so much beauty and humor – the transcendence of traditional gender roles, the flirt, the strangeness. That’s what excited me about our initial demo, and what continues to excite me now.

‘Pretty’ is the second single from Scott’s upcoming album due next year, after the boppy ‘Old Friends’ brought the coolest vibes this summer. There’s something so effortless about these two songs, even when they touch on such raw emotions like missing the past and trying to feel confident in your own skin.

From his standout performances to his vulnerability in his lyrics, Scott has all the makings of a pop superstar!  He’s already toured with fellow Canadian Shawn Mendes and duetted with Alessia Cara, while continuing to push himself to be the best artist he can. He’s also mastered the art of making the perfect TikTok, which is of course crucial for anyone we stan!
