******This limited series does mention drug use******

Based on the best-selling book by Beth Macy, the Hulu limited series, Dopesick takes a while to get through, but it is captivating nonetheless. Dopesick traces the emergence of the opioid crisis meticulously in an admirable way. It examines how one company triggered the worst drug epidemic in American history. Over 20 years, from 1999 to 2019, approximately 500,000 people in the U.S. died from an opioid overdose. This eight-episode-long story immediately establishes itself as passionate, affecting, and compelling. It takes viewers to the epicenter of the nation’s opioid addiction crisis, from the boardrooms of Big Pharma to a mining community in Virginia and the hallways of the DEA. Defying all the odds, heroes will emerge in an intense and thrilling ride to take down the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home, created by executive producer Ava DuVernay, is a social experiment that follows real families from different backgrounds that swap homes to experience a new lifestyle. During the program, participants step outside of their comfort zones and engage in their daily routines. It leads to the formation of new friendships and experiences with new hobbies and activities. Afterward, the families share their experiences, lessons learned, and new perspectives. Initially, it starts with a celebration of differences, but in the end, their emotional, inspiring journey might reveal that they have a lot more in common than they think. It is a comforting, simple, and persistent watch recognizing our similarities and differences in equal measure.

Gather your goblins, ghosts, and freaky frights because it’s Huluween time, and we’re celebrating in style! Hulu’s latest offering, Censor, is a meta-horror in which Niamh Algar plays a censor who brings psychological baggage to work. A film censor Enid takes pride in her meticulous work, safeguarding audiences from being traumatized by watching horrific decapitations and gore mutilations. Her sense of duty to protect deepens by the guilt of inability to recall details about her sister’s long-ago disappearance, recently pronounced dead in absentia. Enid is assigned to review a haunting film from the archives that echo her childhood memories. It takes her a while to realize the connection between this unsettling work and herself. The film is provocative and humorous, displaying the perfect blend of wit and cleverness. You won’t want to miss out on this tongue-in-cheek experience.

With the aim of rebranding and cleaning up his reputation, Kasper reluctantly accepts the offer. With seven other C-list celebrities from around the globe, he will compete for $5 million in prize money. Soon, they realize they are fighting for their lives, as those voted off suffer horrific consequences that are broadcast live to the entire world.
