We’ve Loved Watching WILLOW ‘G R O W’ Into a Pop-Punk Superstar!

WILLOW and Avril Lavigne aim for self-improvement on their empowering anthem ‘G R O W,’  a celebration of finding who you are with boppy pop-punk production by Travis Barker and Tyler Cole. It’s such a catchy song with a relatable message, giving an optimistic energy to anyone who listens!

As a 2000s kid, WILLOW undoubtedly grew up listening to Avril’s hits like ‘Sk8er Boi’ and ‘Girlfriend!’ She told NME about working with Avril:

It’s a huge opportunity for me to be really able to do this to the fullest and to really connect with people who can inspire me and teach me. She’s just one of those people and I’m just so grateful that we got to meet.

‘G R O W’ is the latest single from WILLOW’s fifth studio album, lately I feel EVERYTHING, which she released in July. With hits like the smash ‘t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l’ and the introspective ‘Lipstick,’ the album lets WILLOW explore a new dimension to her artistry and who she is as a person.

We love that WILLOW is never afraid to be herself and be vulnerable in her music! As a young woman of color, she defies so many stereotypes about the rock scene and ‘G R O W’ is an example of how she brings something new to the genre. Much of pop-punk serves as an outlet for artists to discuss the downsides of their mental health and struggles, but WILLOW uses her platform to spread positivity and messages of hope.
