Nessa Barrett has stolen our hearts with her honest lyrics and gorgeous vocals, and she puts the spotlight on her track ‘sincerely’ with a pretty new music video! ‘sincerely’ is the closing track on Nessa’s debut EP pretty poison, which she released in September. It describes a feeling of content after getting through tough times, making it the perfect empowerment anthem after the year we’ve had.
We wish this beautiful song was more than a minute and ten seconds long, but the length keeps it short and sweet, getting right to the point! It also reflects the idea that happiness is what truly matters in life. As the outro puts it, “All the people who say stuff, they don’t matter, You know that. They don’t know the real you.”
Nessa is quickly becoming a force in the alternative scene, and we can’t wait to see what comes next! She first made big waves with her jxdn collab ‘la di die,’ which also features Travis Barker, and her recent single ‘i hope ur miserable until ur dead’ is currently in the Top 25 on US alt radio. Earlier this month, she dropped a special performance video with Vevo that lets her jam out to the track:
Nessa is also never afraid to tackle tough subjects like mental health in her music, which is something we love! She previously told The Honey POP:
I write a lot about my emotions, especially in my [pretty poison] EP. I hope people can relate and know they aren’t alone.Nessa Barrett
