The soft drum pads pair so well with the melody, and Gracie’s vocals are mesmerizing as ever. We love her creative partnership with Aaron Dessner, who co-wrote and produced this song, and all the Taylor Swift vibes born out of it! ‘Rockland’ is definitely one of the most euphoric tracks we’ve heard this year!

Gracie holds on to the canvas, magically painting the constant battle we all face during a toxic time in our lives. This song is all the conversations we have in our heads but are too scared to put out. It’s the pangs of sadness we feel amidst our friends in a festive setting when we’re too far away from the place mentally. ‘Rockland’ speaks to us about all the regrets, the “what ifs,” and the possibilities in our minds.
We love the imagery behind “Broke your every heartbeat” and “I see you every night in my sleep, Anticipating every bad dream.” It is as though seeing the same person in your best dreams and your worst nightmares. Gracie truly is a top-tier songwriter and succeeds in tugging at our heartstrings every single time!
