Supporting The Fight Against Blood Cancer with the DKMS 30th Anniversary Gala

Encouraging others to support the fight against blood cancer, and blood disorders, the DKMS 30th Anniversary Gala brought together donors, patients and supporters to walk the red carpet at New York’s famous Cipriani Wall St. on Thursday, October 28th, 2021.

The black-tie event not only helped to raise critical funds for DKMS’s work in stem cell transplants through a live auction, but it gave a patient the opportunity to meet her donor for the first time, a truly emotional moment. We got the chance to talk with Jennie Osbourne, a lifesaving donor who found interest in DKMS through college.

Showing out for their support of DKMS’s mission, Kaia Gerber, Jaime King, Coco Rocha, Niki Taylor, and many more were in attendance Thursday night, making it a magical moment for all involved. With most being supporters of the non-profit organization for years, like Vera Wang who’s been involved with DMKS for over a decade!

Funds collected from the Gala will ultimately help the organization further its global work in stem cell transplants, and allow DMKS to expand its donor database and its diversity past its current 11 million.

Going out with a bang, the night ended with a special performance from Black Eyed Peas. “It’s an honor for Black Eyed Peas to be a part of DKMS’ 30th-anniversary celebration,” said “DKMS’ longtime effort to assist those fighting serious illness is vital work that we admire and respect.”
